To analyze and evaluate complex data processing systems for E-commerce; both current and proposed automated data processing requirements into detailed system/program requirements. This individual will provide alternatives, recommendations and assistance to management and staff involved in the development, integration, and installation for an outward facing website.
 
Responsibilities will include:

-Prepare programming specifications, and diagrams.
-Develop coding logic flowcharts.
-Develop or revise computer programs requiring the
 knowledge of high level languages.
-Prepare detailed system/program documentation and
 flowcharts and assists with system installation.
-Participate in system requirement and design walk through
 sessions with business area customers.
-Writes or updates software specifications.
-Performs quality assurance review of specifications for
 internal and external delivery.
-Troubleshoots and provides technical support and solutions
 to users.
-Coordinates with client to define problem, determine data
 availability, report requirements, and resolve system
 design problems.

-Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced
 analysts, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
-May serve as a technical team or task leader.
-Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as
 assigned.
-Participates in special projects as required.


Requirements:
Requirements for this position include:
-Requires 5-8 years experience of related experience in
 systems analysis and/or computer programming.
-A minimum of five (5) years of progressively more difficult
 systems experience with two years experience as a systems
 analyst/programmer level working on projects with varied
 system configurations including database, batch, LAN, and/or
 interactive systems in a main frame and/or
 mini/microcomputer environment.
-A minimum of two (2) years experience within the last three
 years developing systems on an operating system and in a
 structured programming language applicable to the
 requirements in the delivery order.
-Previous experience with the US Postal Service desired.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

-Demonstrated programming experience with JAVA, E-
 Commerce, and script writing.
-Demonstrated experience with E-Commerce.
-Demonstrated experience with load testing.
-Experience with Oracle application tools to include:  
 Designer/2000, Developer 2000, SQL, Oracle Data query,
 Oracle Objects, Oracle Reports, Oracle Pro*C, DB2
 application tools.
-Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, and
 procedures used in systems analysis and design.
-Demonstrated ability with project management including
 work breakdown, resource estimates, activity planning,
 resource scheduling, negotiation of deliverables, project
 administration, and status reporting.
-Demonstrated systems integration experience.
-Must be able to coordinate the technical activities of others,
 and perform and coordinate the technical and project
 management activities of estimating and scheduling,
 planning work, advising others, and inspecting and
 evaluating products in order to produce quality finished
 projects/tasks in a timely manner.
-Must be able to communicate technical information to others,
 expressing facts or ideas clearly, orally or in writing, when
 answering questions, giving directions, and providing
 information, individually or in groups.
-Must be able to apply the knowledge of data processing
 systems to a business application environment.
